In 2008 we built an ecological building near to the area where the horses live which is used in connection with the care of the horses. It was a self build using locally obtained materials straw bails, wood and clay plaster which greatly helps reduce its ecological impact. The cost of the house was approximately 6000 euros. Our straw house has great isolation qualities, good, soft climate without allergens. I have allergy on dust, red spiders, mould and different chemical products. Through living in this house I am slowly getting less allergic to these substances. To all interested people, I will be glad to show our house and share our experiences.

Horses in ecology: The horses are looked after as naturally and ecologically as possible and with little human intervention. They live outside the whole year and in winter hay is provided which is hand cut, waterfor the horses is from a small stream which runs through the land. The Hucul is very suitable for foraging spruce self-seeding.
